The Fundació Observatori per a la Societat (Foundation Center for the Information Society) in Catalonia is a private entity created to assist the social partners, especially governments, in making decisions concerning the development of information society and knowledge Catalonia.

Currently tracked the objectives of the Plan of Services and Content of Catalonia, working closely with the Consortium Localret in monitoring the implementation and use of new technologies in local government, and conducts research and supports its own complements the actions of individuals and entities that do research in areas related to the society
